Wildfox is about expression and being in the moment. I’d like to say I am someone that is spontaneous, in the moment, and carefree. I love making nothing into something, going on adventures and being fashionable. A wildfox should be fashion forward and make a statement, which is what I do. I think I am a wildfox because I like to think outside the box and have fun day to day. I live in the moment and what better way to do it than being comfortable and fashionable. Wildfox is the ultimate girly girl. Loving having girl time, going out to have fun and very dream oriented. I think I am what a wildfox is because I embody the characteristics stated above.

hello out there!

I know it’s been a while since I have posted and I promise if you stay around that I will make it worth while for the summer, including some upcoming events that I am really excited about, updating with weekly style photos, and the craziness that is my life. To keep you up in the loop, I am a current Junior at Parsons for Communication Design. I have previously interned for brands such as Jeffrey Campbell and BB Dakota; and I have also previously interned for Fashion/Lifestyle PR Firm, Fingerprint Communications. Currently I am working at Urban Outfitters(been there for a bout a year and a half), interning at Diesel, and working as a freelance designer for blogger, Audrey Kitching. I have decided to make this blog revolve around my various jobs and various looks because they all work with one another. A behind the scenes look at what I do!

This past week a banner I designed was on the COCO DE COEUR website for their spring clearance sale!

for some upcoming events, I will be ending my term at Diesel and begin to intern for Rag & Bone’s Visual Team which will entail Window Displays and Sourcing for materials. Alongside with Rag & Bone, I will be interning at Betsey Johnson for their visual merchandising team. I am really excited about these and I have always been interested in the visual side for a brand.

I am really excited about some news that will be launching sometime this month! I will keep you guys posted

my amazing life as an intern. this past week i went with the people at jc to some appointments in soho. first stop: free people. met the buyer for shoes and bags and that was an awesome experience. I’m learning about all aspects to fashion and the steps it takes for a product to be sold and sold at retailers and such. after free people, we went to stop by seamless showroom who represents brands like luv aj and wildfox. and i scored this AMAZING wildfox piece that retails at $108. In love and hopes for this warm weather to stop so i can wear it comfortably out. Perfect for a lazy day in or out and about with a maxi or shorts with tights for the fall.

i am absolutely OBSESSED with this BB DAKOTA jacket for Spring 2012. it is a knock off of a Celine jacket but i think this one is amazing. williamsburg fashion weekend

so on september 16, i attended williamsburg fashion weekend. it included multiple runway shows and live acts. I went because my manager’s band was performing and her band is AWESOME. they are called zebra baby. while there, TimeOut NY photographed me for their shopping + style section and I just got to see the pictures on their website. In the mix are two of my managers at urban as well! & i am taking pride in being the first one on the selection of people. (the small things). I love mixing high-end brands with cheap, affordable pieces and I am OBSESSED with the new high-low trend. if i could just own everything high-low, i would be in heaven. all my skirts/dresses/shirts need to be high-low

my new internship; first official day! i am currently interning at 3 places and doing school full time as well as working 3 days a week. to say i’m busy is a bit of an understatement but i’m managing. my new internship is for the bb dakota showroom and i am so excited to be able to learn about the whole buyers side of a clothing line. i also intern for jeffrey campbell shoes and coco de coeur so i am tackling all different ends of fashion. if theres anything exciting/ if im allowed to post then i will share the news!

this weekend included hang outs with friends that i haven’t seen in forever and working at urban outfitters. in between the life and work, i got to spend some of my last weeks paycheck on some new clothes from both h&m and urban outfitters. so my urban outfitters is doing an additional 30% off sale so i decided to go get some things, including the pair of pants ive been eyeing forEVER.

so due to the fact that i woke up feeling like shit, i didn’t go to internship (i intern for BB Dakota two days a week)…i don’t have an outfit for today since i stayed in bed all day and watched movies BUT i did put together an outfit that i would have worn today. also i have a lot of lia sophia jewelry that i basically live in due to a past internship that represented the collection. I am obsessed with these new heels I purchased last week at LF for their only sale of the season. I purchased them for 28$!! I think that’s a steal basically.

so when i go to work (i work at urban outfitters), i try to dress to impress because you really don’t know who you’re going to see and what’s going to happen. sometimes my outfits aren’t appropriate for certain tasks i get asked to do (aka carrying shipment boxes up and down the stairs with a maxi skirt on) BUT this one i got really good comments on. thought i would dress up since the 22nd marks the 1 year mark of me working with urban outfitters and my store in particular. todays outfit was good in thought but it was way too hot to be wearing jeans. but i am OBSESSED with these tripp jeans. they remind me of these american apparel tights i used to wear in high school that had one leg that was green and one leg purple. and just recently i found out hayley williams of paramore owned the same pants…not to sound uber hipster but I GOT EM FIRST ;) and i have to say this blazer is one of the best finds I have found at Buffalo Exchange. it’s a christian dior jacket that i got for 18$…and for new york city.. that is CHEAP.
